Importing Weatherford Equipment Minimum, Maximum and Reorder Quantities – DC

Setting up the Update Files on the FTP Server

In order for your agent yards to be able to automatically update the minimum, maximum and reorder quantities for your equipment it is necessary for you to ensure their update files are properly located on your FTP server.

The agent yard will be using the IP Address, User Name and Password as set up in the Release Manager in order to access their folder on your FTP site. Should they not have this information, it must be provided to them by Weatherford.

Because the agent yards are using their Release Manager login to retrieve the file, TALLYS will be looking in the mapped folder for that login for the update file. For example, if you created a login for yard 17085 you may have made the FTP login point to the Tallys\17085 folder. That folder is where the update file must be placed.

The tab delimited file which is used for the update must be named “MinMax.txt”. This file must contain the JD Number, Minimum Quantity, Maximum Quantity and Reorder Quantity in that order. The following provides you with a sample of what the text file should look like.

Once the updated text file has been placed in the yards FTP folder you should notify the yard that they can now update their minimum, maximum and reorder quantities by following the steps provided to them.

Because the “MinMax.txt” file is being saved in the folder named after each yard it is possible to have different minimum, maximum and reorder quantities for each yard.
